Thoughts, Acknowledgements & Credits

Witchery was started for two reasons, the first is that after having played modded Minecraft for a while, I wanted to find out what it took to do some of the interesting things that the various modders had done to the vanilla game. There are some truly inspirational mods out there, and now having completed a fairly simple one myself, I can truly appreciate the hours of work that some very clever people have put into their mods.

The second reason is much simpler, after having worked with C++ and C# for some years, I thought it was about time to get to know Java, and what better way than to do so augmenting a fantastic game!

Well that's about it. I would like, of course, to thank all of the modders out there, whose mods I have played and enjoyed, and possibly pulled a few ideas from for the Witchery Mod. Then there is Notch and the Mojang crew, without whom there would be no Minecraft, so the biggest thanks of all, to them.
