Toads are not naturally occurring ambient creatures that must be added to
the world by mutating them from a pair of other creatures. Toads may be tamed by giving them Rotten Flesh. Once tamed a toad will follow its owner, unless instructed to sit by right-clicking
on it. The toad can be told to move again by right-clicking on it. Two tamed toads will breed (producing a baby toad) if fed Rotten Flesh when they have full health. A tamed toad's skin color can be changed by using a dye on the toad.
Toads drop slime balls and, occasionally, Toe of Frog when killed. Toads are created by mutating an ocelots (or cat) and a small slime. Catch 2 to 4 small
slimes using a
Critter Snare. Place a spider web above a still water block and trap an
ocelot (or cat) in the spider web. Surround the web on 2 - 4 sides with
Critter Snare plants containing a trapped small slime. Place Grassper
plants on
the diagonal corners of the web. Place a charged attuned stone in one of
the Grasspers and Mutandis Extremis in the other three. Finally, use a
mutating sprig on the web, a toad will be created for each trapped slime
(so 2 - 4). It is probably best to do this in an enclosed
space so they don't just hop away before they can be tamed! |
